Wow! What a difference four rounds can make in this unpredictable 2014 NRL Season. Some massive ladder movers over the last month and in both directions.
Previous leader, MR EAGLE, had his wings well and truly clipped during the month, dropping to 26th and BALLBOY never faired much better. After sitting in second spot, he has been unceremoniously kicked to the sidelines in 19th position.
COBBER CORN is now the outright leader, courtesy of the Tigers good start to the season. But, with a few injuries not helping their cause in recent weeks, he needs to remember that if he slips back down the ladder, that, “Big Boys don’t cry.”
WOODY has obviously changed his tipping strategy from his first two tipping seasons where he often languished so far down the ladder that he had to stop to equalise his ear pressure. He is currently in second spot just ahead of, guess who? JACKSBACK, the 2013 champion has moved seventeen rungs up the ladder and poses a big threat.
Other big movers for the month were: BLUE AND WHITE V who now sits in fourth spot after launching himself from 17th after round 4 (have you seen the BLUE AND WHITE V? any launch would require a lot of effort): FUGGLEYS, who’s not just a pretty face in tenth spot, climbing a massive nineteen positions; and, MRS TAV climbed twelve spots to 11th and is wondering what all the fuss is about …”It’s not as hard as cooking a souffle.”
When we travel down into the bottom half of the ladder, some of the faces are all too familiar. CLMUZZA is far too busy playing golf and lunching with clients, so, he’s never sober enough to give tipping any serious thought; JONLAZ1969 needs to take a long hard look at himself and realise that spending all his time ‘basqueing’ on tropical beaches is adversely effecting his tipping; and, APRIL May improve during this month, or, she most likely May not.
Remaining in last place is CHARCOAL, who perhaps should focus on continuing mediocrity and secure the last place prize.
