The FUGS feel it’s important that we leave our footprint throughout the wider Townsville Community, so, when Anne La Fauci (Teacher and Wife of FUGS member Mario) told us about the Under 8s week at Cranbrook Primary School, the FUGS were quick to jump on board to sponsor this great initiative.
Under 8s week was all about promoting a diverse and active lifestyle for our kids. Some of these activities included: games, fence painting, sand & water play and other fun activities. Amongst the fun activities, the school wanted to enlist CAPTAIN ACTIVE to teach the kids some unique and fun games to play.
Normally a mild mannered FUG in the normal course of a day, this Super Kid at Heart gets excited when he hears the words, ‘KIDS’ and ‘FUN’ and he transforms into … CAPTAIN ACTIVE !!! (cue dramatic fanfare)

The FUGS are not a liberty to reveal CAPTAIN ACTIVE’s true identity, or, as we like to call him …. “Silly Skipper”. Suffice to say some of his prior activities included playing and coaching the Mighty Uni Saints, where he first realised he had ‘Super Kids Powers’. He has since gotten older but has never really grown up.
The kids thoroughly enjoyed having Captain Active teach them great new games to play and by the end of the session he had significantly increased his army of supporters. CAPTAIN ACTIVE, the FUGS also salute you.
