When the pressure is on during the State of Origin period, you can count on the champions to come to the fore. And so it is in the tipping, with 2013 Champion JACKSBACK now on top of the FUGS tipping ladder. He climbed from 3rd spot during the month, with consistency being his forte. Very much like his playing days when he consistently arrived late and stayed even later.
SAINT11 also made his move during the month and is outright 2nd just ahead of STEVIE STEVENSON who now seems to have totally recovered from the 2013 Brisbane floods. But, the big mover for the month is BAD MOJO who has jumped an incredible fifteen spots up to 7th. He spends most of his time in Hollywood as a ‘fill in’ for Denzel Washington but keeps a keen eye out on the NRL and watches the games in between takes.
COBBERCORN was leading after eight rounds but is reaching for the tissues after dropping to 11th and is listening out to see if his Tigers begin to roar again. And what’s this? THE DISNIK is another massive mover jumping from way down in the bottom of the ladder into the top half with a fourteen spot climb. You cant help but think that its just a matter of time before he dislocates his shoulder and drops back down again. Surely he can’t sustain it?!?!?
The bottom half of the ladder is riddled with disappointments. INNISFAIL DELUGE is drowning in his own disgrace after dropping ten spots and the LOWLAND WONDERER is exploring even lower land after falling nine spots to 26th.
The race appears to be well and truly on to claim the $50 last prize. At this stage it’s a fight in four between: CLMUZZA who’s reading this at the pub because he reckons the office just makes him work; MUMMA C and CHARCOAL seem to be a good pair … of rotten tipsters; and, the perenial cellar dweller, APRIL, is running dead and ASADA has been called in.
