Those who attended the 50th Anniversary Reunion – Gala Dinner back in 2011 will recall the roll call of Life Members on the evening. Jeff ‘Herman’ Walton was one of them and it was noted that he arrived at the Club in the late 70s and has simply refused to leave.
Well, Herman’s commitment to Rugby League does not stop with Uni Rugby League and there are others that he likes to annoy constantly, including the TDRL.
Last Friday, 6th September 2013, he was awarded LIFE MEMBERSHIP of the Townsville and Districts Rugby League. The award was presented by another Life Member and Uni Supporter, Midge Jackson.
